Create a new host
To create a new host, press the “+” button in the lower left corner of the Hosts table.
The first time you click on the “+” button, you will see a message telling you that the SSL environment must be set up first. Confirm this dialog box by clicking the “OK” button.
You may then need to enter your MacOS account password.
MAMP PRO offers several types of hosts that you can create. For the sake of clarity, we have divided them into two categories: Basic & Advanced
Basic

Empty
An “Empty” host has a simple dummy page preinstalled. -
WordPress
A “WordPress” host has a WordPress preinstalled, including its database.
Advanced

Custom
A “Custom” host allows you to add a database and/or files to a new host. -
Blueprint
A “Blueprint” host is a clone of a host in the “Blueprint” group. -
Cloud
Automatically import the data from the cloud after the host is created. -
Import
Use this host type to automatically import a remote site. -
Migration
This type creates a host to be used as a source/destination in a migration.
